The Blackfox story began in 1976, when Guy Toulat and Alain Humeau, two characters with strong personalities who complemented each other perfectly, met. 13 years later, with their heads full of dreams, they created AJS, a company specialized in the production of garden boots and clogs, now headquartered in Saint-Germain-sur-Moine in Maine-et-Loire.

The department is France’s leading horticultural producer, and fashion and footwear production are important economic sectors. In this context, it’s not surprising that Alain and Guy have specialized in gardening products.
